Student Counselling - Mentor Mentee scheme

  • The purpose of the Faculty’s mentor-mentee system are to provide guidance to students on academic matters and to foster a close and constructive professional relationship between students and the staff of the Faculty. While all lecturers in the Faculty are potentially academic advisors to all students who seek their advice, each lecturer (mentor) is assigned particular responsibility to a small group of students (mentees)

  • Roles of Mentors.
  • In essence, the key roles of mentors are to:
    1. Assist their mentees to gain an understanding of the curriculum, the faculty's expectations of its students and the University's requirements (for example, in respect of its student registration system)
    2. Provide advice and guidance to students regarding academic matters
    3. Provide feedback and opportunities for reflective review following the release of End-of-Block and End-of-Posting results
    4. Assist students in solving problems and, when necessary, refer them to an appropriate authority or resource person
    5. Perform any other functions as required by the Faculty.

  • Responsibilities of Mentees
  • All Students are encouraged to meet with their mentors, on a regular basis, to discuss their learning progress including any academic problems encountered.
Student Seminars

Seminars are designed for students to talk about topics in the course reading or lectures in detail, so students have to take an active part in the debate. Sometimes the tutor will lead the seminar, or they might choose students to make a presentation. But whether you’re presenting or not, you’ll still need to do some work before and after the seminar to make the most out of them.

Organizing and Promoting internships

Internships will be arranged in pharmaceutical industries in various departments during the semester transitions. Students will be trained on technical skills and will have an opportunity to carry out real time projects under the guidance of Industrial experts.

Outreach programmes

These programs will help the students to understand the problems of the community and help them to provide their services. You get hands on experience in implementing new practices for the community in need.

Counselling and career guidance

Career guidance will be given to individuals to help them acquire the knowledge, information, skills, and experience necessary to identify career options, and narrow them down to make one career decision. This career decision then results in their social, financial and emotional well-being throughout.

Student Committee

Students participate and contribute in following committees

  • Notice board updation committee.
  • Journal club.
  • Herbal Garden committee.
