Chettinad Pain Clinic was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Chettinad University Prof V. Raji in a recent function which was presided over by our CEO Mr Venkat Panidhar. DMS Dr. Saravanan, prominent physicians and enthusiastic hospital personnel attended the function. Prof V. Raji inaugurated the Pain Clinic by lighting the traditional Kuthuvillaku.
Chettinad Pain Clinic shall run a comprehensive, scientific treatment service in management of chronic and acute pain. Pain management is new specialty that deals with comprehensive, evidence based treatment of any pain syndrome that lasts more than 3 to 6 months. The conditions that can effectively treated are usually orthopedic especially spine related, cancer pain, gastrointestinal, neurological conditions, etc. The pain management team is typically multi disciplinary consisting of interventional pain physician, orthopedician, neuro physicians and surgeons, spine surgeon, oncologist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, palliative management experts and nursing staff. Out patient services are provided in Consultation room No: 18 in the C block in Chettinad Super Specialty Hospital. Along with comprehensive treatment plans, physical therapy options and life style modification protocols are advised.
